Important Dates

  • Nov. 1, 2023 – Jan. 16, 2024*: Open Enrollment for plan year 2024.
  • Nov. 1, 2023: The first day you can enroll in, re-enroll in, or change health plans for coverage that starts on Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Dec. 15, 2023: The last day to enroll in or change plans for coverage that starts on Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Jan 16, 2024*: Open Enrollment ends. This is the last day to enroll in or change health plans for plan year 2024. After this date, you can enroll in or change plans only if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. To see if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, go to Healthcare.gov.
  • Feb. 1, 2024: Coverage starts for those who enroll in or change plans Dec. 16, 2023 through Jan. 16, 2024* and pay their first premium.


  • *The open enrollment deadline in Michigan has been extended from Jan. 15 to Jan. 16, 2024, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day federal holiday.
